NURTURE
YOGA STUDIO
I would love to
try Yoga, but I am not in the least bit flexible, does that matter?
Level of flexibility is of no concern when it
comes to trying yoga and sticking with it. One of the main benefits
of Yoga is to IMPROVE flexibility; therefore it is not a pre-requisite.
After taking Yoga classes for a time you may notice that you are
more flexible than you were in the beginning or your flexibility
may remain the same, either way you will still receive ALL of
the benefits Yoga has to offer.
Yoga and Meditation
are affiliated with Eastern Religions and I am a devout Christian,
will it conflict with my beliefs?
Your Religious beliefs are yours and yours alone,
it is a decision that only you can make. Yoga and Meditation are
affiliated with Eastern Religions because that is where they originated.
However, both can be found to strengthen any type of personal
spirituality, if that is a wanted goal. Meditation can be seen
as a form of quiet reflection and prayer. Yoga and Meditation
are a form of self awareness, your self, the self that your God
made. They can be used as a tool to become closer to yourself
and your God. Nurture Yoga Studio does not promote any one type
of Religion and we do not indoctrinate Religion of any kind. We
simply want to share the benefits of Yoga and Meditation.
It has been a few
years since I practiced yoga, which level should I start with?
Your best bet is to start at the beginner level
to be reacquainted with postures and breathe awareness. Intro
to Yoga would also be a great class for you, because it can be
utilized as a refresher course. As soon as you feel you are ready
to move forward, we also offer intermediate and advanced level
classes.
What type of clothing
should I wear to a class or workshop?
Wear comfortable and lose clothing or your favorite
workout attire. You should be able to move through postures freely.
We suggest that you do not wear jewelry that may interfere with
certain poses. |
