NURTURE DAY SPA FAQ
I am never sure if I should or should not wear makeup to a service?
To wear or not to wear makeup is truly up to you. We want you to be as comfortable and as relaxed as possible. So if you know you do not check your mail without your face on then please feel free to wear it or if your idea of comfortable is nothing on your face at all, then come on in without it. We can always remove makeup during a facial. The only exception to the rule is after receiving a chemical peel. In that particular case we recommend you wait at least one hour before reapplying your makeup and highly suggest that you go the rest of the day without it if possible.
Why should I arrive 10 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time?
It probably does sound a little crazy to schedule a time and then have to be early, but it is actually very important. We want you to have plenty of time to fill out all of the necessary paperwork without it running into the time allotted for your service. Forms are for your safety and protection, to make sure our technicians know about allergies, medications, etc. that may interfere with your comfort during or following a service or treatment.
Why should I schedule a complimentary skin care consultation before scheduling a chemical peel?
We want to make sure that you receive the best treatment for your skin care concerns, by offering a consultation. There are many different protocols to choose from and this way you and your aesthetician are on the exact same page and you are sure to see the results. We want you and your skin to be prepared to receive the full benefits from your peel.
Seems like somewhat of a stringent cancellation policy, what if I just can't make it?
We know there are certain circumstances that can hinder keeping an appointment. We would like for people to know and take into consideration that we are a very small, mom and daughter operation and rely on your graciousness when it comes to cancellations. Giving proper notice of a cancellation will give someone else a chance to take that particular time.
NURTURE YOGA STUDIO FAQ
I would love to try Yoga, but I am not in the least bit flexible, does that matter?
Level of flexibility is of no concern when it comes to trying yoga and sticking with it. One of the main benefits of Yoga is to IMPROVE flexibility; therefore it is not a pre-requisite. After taking Yoga classes for a time you may notice that you are more flexible than you were in the beginning or your flexibility may remain the same, either way you will still receive ALL of the benefits Yoga has to offer.
Yoga and Meditation are affiliated with Eastern Religions and I am a devout Christian, will it conflict with my beliefs?
Your religious beliefs are yours and yours alone, it is a decision that only you can make. Yoga and Meditation are affiliated with Eastern Religions because that is where they originated. However, both can be found to strengthen any type of personal spirituality, if that is a wanted goal. Meditation can be seen as a form of quiet reflection and prayer. Yoga and Meditation are a form of self awareness, your self, the self that your God made. They can be used as a tool to become closer to yourself and your God. Nurture Yoga Studio does not promote any one type of Religion and we do not indoctrinate Religion of any kind. We simply want to share the benefits of Yoga and Meditation.
It has been a few years since I practiced yoga, which level should I start with?
Your best bet is to start at the beginner level to be reacquainted with postures and breathe awareness. Intro to Yoga would also be a great class for you, because it can be utilized as a refresher course. As soon as you feel you are ready to move forward, we also offer intermediate and advanced level classes.
What type of clothing should I wear to a class or workshop?
Wear comfortable and lose clothing or your favorite workout attire. You should be able to move through postures freely. We suggest that you do not wear jewelry that may interfere with certain poses.
